The Marin Health Fund supports the Friends of Locally Operated Wastewater in their efforts to secure a recount for the initiative petition to stop privatization of the Novato Sanitary District. In a hotly contested move, the Directors of the Sanitary District leased the new $90 million waste water plant to Veola, a move that has echoes to the 1985 privatization of Marin General Hospital.
